Unhappy ~!~words of encouragement PLEASE~!~

So I just started calorie counting. I have been doing great during the day, but at night its a different story! I just lose all control of everything and I feel like I should eat EVERYTHING I see! Am I doing something wrong during the day to make me feel like that at night? I cant keep doing this! I will never get anywhere doing like I am!! I am stuck in a travel trailer all day and can go without stuffing my face then it is like as soon as the sun goes down I feel the need to gourge myself! HELP please!!

Perhaps you are depriving yourself too much during the day and then at night your body is so hungry that you binge? I have often done this. I am in the same situation as you in that I have trouble controlling my binge eating. I am trying to take it meal by meal. That's really all we can do.

I guess that is my problem, but during the day I am eating all kinds of different things so I do not become bored with the same stuff all day everyday.

What kind of food are you noshing on in the evening? Is there something missing in your diet causing cravings or is it just "eating the fridge because it's there"?

I am in the same boat as you! Night eating has always been my problem. Throughout the day I eat soooo good and then ruin it at night. It seems to be worse when I am in the living room or somewhere near the kitchen, so I usually end up just going to my room. I have found that eating a tiny piece of dark chocolate helps me or I brush my teeth because I can't stand the taste of food afterwards. Just try to push yourself past it. Just tell yourself that you will regret it in the morning. Usually after I talk to myself about it for 15 minutes I don't want the food anymore.

I don't know what your travel trailer has as far as cooking goes, but maybe try egg whites & vegetables to keep your food urges at bay? I don't particularly enjoy that mixture, but my sister ate that a lot when she was losing weight. It's low calorie even at large quantities.

Well first of all, how many calories are you consuming and how many times do you eat a day before the evening?

Are you legitimately hungry in the evening? If so, you might want to try shifting your bigger meal to the evening to correspond to your hunger cues.

My biggest meal tends to be dinner at around 5pm. I'm my hungriest then and it makes sense to have a larger meal then and smaller meals earlier in the day.

You may also want to try out Intermittent Fasting. A lot of members have found success using that.

I am just eating whatever gets my attention. I think its just I am used to just munching at night. I eat my biggest meal at night and I have been eating anywhere from 1500 to 1600 calories a day (before I go on my binge eating). I just do not know what to do as far as eating at night. I would eat eggs but they make me gag I eat fruit, veggies, and constantly drink water!
