Hello All!!!
I am new to this website and am hoping for more support. I am a military wife. I don't get along with the other wives. I spend most of my days with my son and I only have my husband to really talk to. It's hard to get all of the support from my family when they are over 1,000 miles away. Being 5'1" and 286lbs. makes me morbidly obese. Obesity runs in my family on my father's side. My father is over 300lbs. and suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Somehow I have managed to evade all of these, but I know that it won't last for long. So, after many attempts and fails at diet and exercise I am undergoing lap-band surgery. Some people may think that I am taking the easy way out. Let me tell you, there is nothing easy about lap-band surgery. You still have to eat healthy and exercise. It is a lifelong commitment, as should any diet and exercise regimen should be. I have to take care of myself in order to take care of my family.
For the past few months I have been studying to be a certified personal trainer. I am overly excited about getting my certification and helping others but I am not looking forward into going in and taking my exam. Someone who is my size and trying for a certification in personal trainer doesn't exactly look all that good. I am working ahead of myself. I won't be training anyone besides my husband for a long time after my certification. I need to get some experience and not to mention I need to "walk the walk" in order to get my future clients to trust me to help may their lives healthier. I have finished all of my studying. I just need that final test done and I am scared. Any advice?
Thanks for taking the time to read my post!! I hope to get to know some of you!! I plan on starting a blog on 3FC and I hope you can all follow it!!
