Hi all, I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself to all the lovely ladies(and gentlemen?) of this forum. My name is Kim, and I am 22 years old and living in DC. I am 5'8, and somewhere around 240-250 lbs. Since I do have a larger frame I'll probably never be skinny, but I'm ok with that! My goal weight is 170 lbs.
I've finally realized after graduating this past December that it's time I start living my life that way I want to live it. I've been overweight my whole life, and my own insecurities have held me back for far too long. I also have health issues such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease that run in my family, and I want to prevent these health issues before they ever start. I just think that now is the right time to get myself on track, and establish a healthy lifestyle.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you, and getting lots of diet advice, support, and tips!
