Default Eating more times a day?

Hi Caloriecounters!

For the past few weeks I've not been loosing weight, and I think it's a combination of not excersising as much as 'before' (I am picking that up again this week though!) and eating differently.

It's been very very busy at work, so I would eat only small breakfast and nothing untill my late lunch and maybe a small snack before dinner. Before I would eat 6 times a day. I stay within the same calorie-range (between 1200 and 1500. But I am not loosing any weight. Could it be because I eat less often? I also just have less apetite lately so it's gonna be hard making myself eat more times a day.

Any thoughts are welcome! I eat super healthy, barely any processed foods. Lots of veggies/fruit and nuts. A bit more carbs the past few weeks - but mostly good carbs.

Thanks!

Hey Philana (Totally off topic, but how crazy is True Blood this season?!)

Changing habits can have an effect on our weight, but mathematically if you're eating below your maintenance level then you should be losing fat.

However, we all know that losing fat doesn't mean that it will show on the scale. (Water retention, food in our system, sore muscles etc. All those reasons, plus the unknown mysterious reasons!)

You say you're returning to exercising more this week, and that should play some role in your calorie deficit. Were I you, I'd continue staying within my daily calories (regardless of how the meals are spaced out), add in the activity for two weeks and see if anything happens.

If not, then I'd look into changing something else, but to start... just the activity.

As funny as this might sound, sometimes when calorie counting it can be good to have a day or two of eating a higher calorie range to give your metabolism a 'kick'. If you look around the boards a little, a lot of calorie counters suggest or end up trying this. If you were to eat maybe 1700 or 1800 calories one or two days this coming week it might help you pass this plateau.

(Also I'll get in on the True Blood love - I wish it was Sunday already, I hate waiting! Eric is so hot and I love that he was a main character this season!!)
