Running again

  • Since I've started to try to lose some weight I've hit the track. I've started by walking a mile and want to work my way up to running that full mile. So far I can run a fourth of a mile. I haven't been running for a couple years now and it is very hard. Also, I am very self conscious about it and dont like to be seen running.
  • Congratulations! That's a great accomplishment. I, too, have been running lately and I'm self-conscious also but I notice that it also seems to get me some respect when I pass skinny people that are walking. I get some comments about it that are positive. I bet people look at you and see you as an inspiration.

  • There is always going to be people that will have something to say whether you are big or small. Heck if I worried about what people think I wouldn't even leave the house. If the worse thing someone can say about me is that I am fat then **** I got it made! I can always lose the weight, but they can't lose that mental ugliness.
