Army PT Test Aug 5 - Post results here

  • Okay, you who enlisted to pass the Army PT test, your next check-in date is tommorrow. And those who are new to this, jump right on in.

Here are the charts to check your score:
    http://usmilitary.about.com/od/army/a/afpt.htm
Charts are by gender and age.

    Take the test by
1 - push ups in 2 minutes - have someone observe you for form - elbows MUST be at 90 degrees to count with flat body.
    10-20 minute rest
2 - sit ups in 2 minutes - hands must remain behind ears with upper body past 90 degrees to count then return after shoulder blades touch floor. The action is up-down-up for each rep.
    10-20 minute rest
3 - 2 mile run preferably on a track but treadmill with a .5 incline should be fine.

    Post your results:
PASS - publish your score (pass is at least 60 points)
If you fail, please don't publish your score, instead post:
FAIL - if this is your first time then you are done
if this is NOT your first test than post your improvement over the last test for example. push ups FAIL + 3 meaning you did 3 more push ups then the last time you took the test.

We will retest every two weeks until everyone gets to where they want to be.

    Good luck, soilders!
  • I'll start since Thursday is my run day - I did the test today.

    push ups FAIL + 3
    sit ups FAIL + 4
run PASS Score: 64 (4 points less than last test
  • Random tid bit--- My Hubby is in Tech school right now with the USAF... they just turned up the heat
with push-ups. They now have to be able to do 42 in 1 min. I think it is just his Squadron that is doing
    it, not the entire AF.
  • Army will be changing their PT test too.

Hi! I'm new! Will have my hubby time me when he gets home but I'm positive I'll be fail X 3! Will be good to know anyway.
