  • When I first started my weightloss journey, I was 284 pounds and in size 22-24 clothing. (Now 248 lbs )

Today I went shopping for new jeans because mine are looking too baggy and just about falling off. I figured I went down a size to a 20, but I wanted to see how close I was to fitting into an 18, so I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans in an 18 for the heck of it... and they fit. PERFECTLY! No muffin top and you can actually tell I have a waist. Today is the first time it hit me that my body is actually changing and my hard work is paying off, so I had to share.

Anyone else have any good news to celebrate?

  • Hurray and congrats!
  • CONGRATS!!! What a wonderful feeling!!!!!

I had several customers at work today tell me they could tell I had lost weight!
    Made me sooooo excited!
  • Congrats! That's a GREAT feeling.

I bought a couple new shirts today ... I was able to buy 2 of them in L instead of XL! It definitely made my day.
  • That is wonderful!! That feeling has to be so wonderful! I can't wait until I get there. I started at 280 and I decided my reward for making it 50 lbs lost would be to go shopping so I am working hard for it and can't wait to have that same feeling that you are having!

Way to go and keep it moving! You rock
  • wow congratulations
  • girlies i'm so new to this website and having a clue what im doing how do i get a tracker like you have on your pages....
  • byronsmommy: you need 25 posts to get a sig

Congrats Sandra! I'm size 12-14 at the moment and even at that size it's hard to find flattering clothes sometimes. I hate muffin tops! I've also had several humiliating moments where I had to ask the sale girl to help me take off a shirt that was too small. All the really nice stuff starts at size 6 or so. I can't wait to get there. I plan to go nuts!
  • Thanks for the support! It's funny how noticing a difference can instantly change your attitude. I came home from shopping and worked out extra hard in the gym and had a healthy snack and dinner when I was going to use my "cheat" points.

mhill Congrats! It's the best when other people notice your hard work!

jennfett I'm sure you'll get to experience it soon!

doubtingjulia I can't imagine being a size six right now .. because I have never been one. lol But I hope to be one day! The difference in size 18 compared to a 22 is crazy, so I can't wait to see what I will be like in a size 8/10.
  • Yay that is awesome--you must be feeling over the moon!
  • Sandra - congratulations! That is an awesome feeling. I felt the same way too when I realized I could actually squeeze into those skinny jeans I'd been saving for "when I lost weight" (and I actually did, this time around!)
  • thats great!
  • This is definitely something to celebrate! Congratulations!!!! Keep it up
  • I can't wait for the day that I am down in the single digit sizes again... currently I am a size 12, even getting down to an 8/9 would bring a smile to my face! CONGRATULATIONS on you accomplishment!

  • Congrats to you
