Oh man, what I'd give to be able to swim everyday!!! That is such a good workout and so fun! I'm jealous! And good for you taking advantage of it!

The lake is far from me and I WILL NOT go to a public pool. Too bothered with my weight still :/ lol. One day though!

Your lake is beatiful, and so are you!!

Your body is not awful, it's just bigger than you want it to be, but you're doing something about it! Don't beat yourself up.

On a serious note, do you have a swimsuit you love? I discovered skirtini suits a couple years ago, and I actually feel pretty in them! That little miniskirt hides a lot!

wow, am I jealous! what a gorgeous place. Is that your son? so cute

it took me some guts to put on a bathing suit and go to pool at the Y for the first time. I don't do it all that much even though I love swimming (it's a hassle getting to the Y with the good pool, and it's a lot of changing in the locker room, etc.). It was a good mental/emotional feat for me. I figure, what good does it do me to be so down on my body all the time, esp when not that many other people are even looking or caring. And even if they are, they're strangers.

so I say enjoy being in that little piece of heaven and enjoy the body you have at whatever size it is, don't waste your time being down on yourself -- that mindset will probably lead you to being more active and keep you from turning to food for comfort, so it's a win win attitude!

Yeah I still can't go to public pools! I will go to the lake all day long because there is a dock near my house that few people use so I don't feel As self conscious... but the pool is a whole new story!!

Thanks you!!! I acctually don't have a problem with bottoms, I'm one of those who is big up top with tiny butt and hips... like NO booty lol and my legs are just muscle... it's my upper body that gets all the weight so i wear those tank top bathing suits that cover as much possible of my tummy hanging out lol!

Thanks for the support!!! It took me so long to finally accept that those people don't matter to me! I don't care if they like my body or not!! I Really am the type now who just goes and doesn't care who is looking! But of course ultimately I want to be the girl who walks out with my "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny yellow polka dot bikini" lol!!! and I want everyone to look and feel sexy!!!!! and no, that is not my son! I claim him most of the time lol but I have no children! He is my roommates little boy. I've been there since he was born and I've taught him to introduce me as "this is my murry(hehe he can't say MARY) and she's my roooomie" lol He's a sweet little demon child

The lake is so pretty. We have a smaller version in my developement, but it hasnt been nice enough to swim in yet-ie pond scum. I commend you for donning a bathingsuit, something I will only do in 100 degree heat.

ouch! lotion! lol. Is a little rainy and overcast here in Brooklyn. Cool and humid, about 70 degrees. Not complaining, last week it was in the high 90s, and in the city that ain't no fun. Have to get my rear end to the gym. Nice to think about your lake.
