Hi: Half way through weight loss

  • Hi. I'm excited to join this forum. I've been losing weight since June 2010 and really need some support for the weight loss. Height: 5'1''. I started at 220lbs. Currently at 169lbs. Goal is 119-130lbs (it will depend on how I feel when I get down there. My doctor doesn't think I need to go down to 119.) My motto in the beginning was slow and steady wins the race (because I was trying to avoid the saggy skin) but I want to kick this in overdrive now that I'm in the last stretch. Thanks for reading.
  • Congrats!!!!!! I Have 3lbs To My Half Way And I'm So Excited I Can Taste It! Thanks For The Amazing Inspiration.
  • It's definitely a different kind of feeling to be halfway to the goal. I have more anxiety than excitement but it feels like I need to just get the weight loss over with and start the maintaining lol.
  • to 3FC =)

Congratulations on the changes you've made so far! Stick around. Post where you're comfortable. And always keep at it!

    Best of wishes!
  • I'm halfway through, too! I've lost 75 and I have about 72 left that I want to lose. I'm really excited but also now feel like it's so much slower than it was and am trying to work harder and go a little into overdrive also. I never thought I could even get halfway, so now being there has me wanting to get to my goal SO SO bad.
  • 75lbs gone is amazing!!! You can do it!!!!
  • Congrats on achieving half way. I recently met this goal too and agree with what you say about just getting it over and starting maintaining your ideal weight. Best of luck with the second half, In ways it may be easier because you have become so far, and have your routine sorted, just stay focused and determined and think of how you will feel when you make it. You can look back feeling proud and say "You know, I didnt think I would make it, but I have shown everyone, and myself I can do it" and anything when you stay focused and determined. Keep up the good work.
  • You can do it too! You look amazing.
  • Yeah i read your post about losing that much in a short amount of time. I'm going to have to increase the strength exercising to avoid the sagging skin of losing weight fast. When I went to the gym before the trainer had me doing a body building workout routine because I trained really hard. I'd have to reconfigure my strength exercise routine if I don't rejoin a gym. Thanks.
  • You look great! If you've had the dedication to go slow and steady, there is no doubt you'll reach your goals!
