Don't feel guilty if you DO need a week off your regular workout routine to adjust. Starting a new job might not be physically taxing (depending on the job) but there's a lot of mental and emotional energy that you're using right now.
But I wouldn't suggest eliminating all physical activity - even a short walk after dinner can help with stress and mood and energy.
Also, have a plan for when you're going to go back to your regular routine. Don't wait until you "feel like it," choose a date in the future and stick with it. You can re-evaluate then, but (in my experience!) it's way too easy to keep saying "later" when it comes to exercise.
