If you look up some answers from the experienced 3FC ladies around here, you'll come to find pretty quickly that 2 weeks is
definately not a plateau. Sometimes your body needs to catch up to itself depending on what you are doing and how quickly the weight came off!
Changing up your routine is never a bad idea as you learn what you can do with your body. I wouldn't necessarily recommend a "cheat" day unless you can control yourself and it's planned in advance. You can try a cheat meal maybe once every couple weeks and take it from there (depending on how strict you are the rest of the week). Or you can increase/decrease your calories (be mindful not to cut them too low though!). Or try a different variety of foods -- reducing sodium, sugar, preservatives, all the unnatural stuff.
And my personal way that I busted through a plateau that I was on for
2 years: Had the DH hide the scale so I would stop obsessing every morning when I hopped on and didn't see it move, and I practiced everything I had learned about being as healthy as I can be but without being as hard on myself when I messed up! I haven't weighed myself for the last 2 months and have found that I am down 10 lbs without feeling like I was really trying! That's including social nights with friends where I had a few too many wobbly pops, and days where i said "**** ya I'll have a mini egg (or 20)".
I've also tried to be more mindful of being active. Walking. Yoga. Gardening. Low impact stuff that's fun and keeps me from mindless munching on the couch.
(and before you think that you'd much much prefer to lose more than 10 lbs in 2 months, think about it this way: a year from now, where will you be? Losing it fast isn't the important part. Losing it forever is.)
