I don't think anyone ever really expected themselves to be fat at any age...its weird how it just creeps up on you. You can totally do this though! Come here for support, stay commited and enjoy the pounds coming off!

I'm 23, and I am trying to nip my own weight gain in the bud. I have been fat for six years now-and now I am trying to get it all off. You can do this too. I never thought I'd be a fat 23 year old, and here I am. ^_^ Go for it!

Yeah, when I realized "Oh no, I'm fat!" (like, not a few extra pounds but actually morbidly obese), it was just....ugh. A little bit of shock and a little bit of horror. Just wanted the weight off. I'm 27, will be 28 in a few weeks. Never saw myself here at this age. But I joined up and have adjusted my eating habits and become more active, and the pounds are slowly coming off. You can do it, too! Best of luck.

Me, too! Turning 30 end of June! I think we're about the same size, too! I would love to have a "buddy" to talk to online...I know I can do it with a little support . I would love to feel better about myself & go to the beach this summer & enjoy my birthday. Who doesn't wanna throw on shorts, a tank-top & flip-flops when it's hot & feel great running out the door! I have a lot to lose-but a lot to gain .

I am 29 and know how you feel. I have put off losing weight and becoming healthy for too long now. After having a baby, I always said I would lose weight once the baby reached a certain age, but life seems to get in the way. The sad irony is that I feel like I can't live my life when I am exhausted and out of shape.
We can do it!!

hi thats great to know i'm not alone! i posted this and then exercised and my mood completely changed when i came back from walking. feeling good! what are your plans for your 30th? I'm going to treat myself to a spa treatment with my mum, sister and friends. I DESERVE IT! i completely freeked out after christmas because it was like this year i'm going to be 30 aghhhhhhh! i'm coming to terms with it now but i just wish i wasn't so heavy and could get a fabulous new outfit to wear. but anyway i'm on the right road. something just suddenly clicked in my head and i thought, stop putting it off and just get out there and walk... so i did, i have clocked up 18 miles already
