Howdy

  • My name is Judy and I must lose some weight. So..I guess this is the way the alcoholics feel at their first AA meeting!
I started on President's Day and have lost 8 pounds. I would like to lose 108!

I never have any energy to get anything done, can't wear my clothes, fit in chairs, etc. WAAAAAHHHHHH!

I have been reading this forum for several hours today and think the support will be what I need to get/stay motivated. It was a beautiful day today and should have been gardening but if you folks can keep me motivated it was time well spent!

Looking forward to getting to know you fine folks!

  • welcome and GL. I am new as well and love reading all the success stories they are very motivatiing. Keep us prosted on your success
  • Thanks Fancypants, Cajun Mama and rshanning. The success storeis are motivating! So, this morning I try to weigh and the batteries are dead on the scales. Good sign or bad omen, who knows!
  • I would say it might be a good thing lol. A long time ago when I was trying to lose weight I became obsessed with the scale. It was awful. I would find excuses throughout the day to weight myself. I was on the scale each and every trip to and by the bathroom. I think I weighed myself over a dozen times per day. I've since learned....keep track of my weight by stepping on the scale maybe twice a month and jot the numbers down in a notebook. But the real results show by how differently my clothes fit or what the tape measure says about my bmi. Again though, I have to really watch myself and make sure I don't obsess over it. I do my "check ins" once a week or so.
