One of our SB BOARD members is having breast reduction surgery. I don't think it's a good idea to do this before she loses the weight she wants, but that is just IMHO.

Has anyone had this done and then lost a considerable amount of weight? If so, what effect did it have on your breasts?

on the subject of breast reduction, i went for a consultation, and the dr. did specify that best case scenerio would be to lose the desired amount of weight before the surgery! good incentive huh!

Speaking as someone who has lost 125 pounds in the last year, I would definitely wait to have the surgery until after losing weight. I was a 40DDD (at plus-sized stores) and now I'm a 34D (in regular stores). My breasts seems MUCH smaller now than they were initially!

I wonder what your friend's doctor has to say about it... Seems like ezylyf_1's doctor has some good advice!
