~Hello!~

  • Hi everyone! I'm so glad I found this site. I've been working on losing weight since July, 2010. I bounced back & forth between the same 5 pounds for what seemed like FOREVER before I finally found something that works for me! Since I figured it out I have dropped 13 pounds in the last 6 weeks & it has given me the motivation to reach my goal.

    I am getting married on March 25, 2011 (only 6 more weeks!) & I desperately want to get to at least 160 by then. I'm currently at 173 so 160 is my mini goal for now. I have become really motivated since I started seeing the number on the scale drop! So I think my biggest problem now is that I can't stop myself from weighing. I promise myself I'll only weigh once a week, but in reality I hop on there several times a day!!

    Anyway...I'm really happy to find a place where others are fighting the same battle as me! I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you & maybe borrowing some inspiration & motivation when I'm running low!
  • Welcome and congrats on your success to date, and on your upcoming wedding (how exciting!). My wedding day was one of the best days of my life (only competing so far with the births of my kids)...I wish the same for you!

    Also I'm a several times daily weigher too...I've pared it down to only twice lately. Anyhow it's been a big part of getting the weight off, so don't feel badly about weighing more often, as long as the fluctuations don't drive you nuts (I found I got used to them pretty quickly).
  • Welcome, Glad to have you join us. My advice is to look for a Support group, Chat, or Challange to join; small groups make it easier to get connected. Most sub-forums have groups covering almost every need, find one that inspires or motivates you and just post to join. Best Wishies for your Wedding Day!
