Default Not So Quick Exercise Question

On Jan 4 I started doing an old (about 5 years old) Power 90 (by BeachBody) DVD. It has a totaly of 3 DVD's. The first is a 30 min. stength workout and a 35 min. cardio workout. The next 2 DVD's are the next level of each. Same basic workout just adding about 10 min and a bit of intensity to each. Right now I do the strength M,W,F and the cardio T,Th,S which is what they recommend.

My qustion is when should I start seeing results? I have noticed good results in my stamina and strength (at the beginning I could barly do 3-4 push ups. Yesterday I did 14. That is huge for me!) But I have not noticed any change in my weight or how my clothes fit.

I have commited my self to do this long term. I realize that even if I don't lose any weight (which I really want/need to do) I still need to make exercise a part of my life EVERY day. So I am not getting frusterated, I quess, as much as just kind of wondering. I also know that I need to eat better. I am very busy and working on that.

Another question I have (sorry if I am rambling) is about the strength part. The weights I use are 5lbs. The girl that works out on the video is quit built. I don't want to be "buff". I want to be lean and muscular. I don't know how heavy her weights are on the DVD and obviously I don't know her daily workout, but I don't want to look like a body builder.

You will see results as long as your diet is in check. Are you eating a calorie deficit?

Also, for the girl on the DVD, I'm guessing she has a pretty low body fat as it is hard to see muscle definition without that. And building muscle takes years and years of lifting heavy with the right diet. And one thing to remember is losing muscle is easy, losing fat isn't. So if you ever get to the point where you have a low body fat and don't like how your muscles look, then you can always dial back the training program.
