Default What's Your Desire?

When you treat yourself for your hard work on weight loss, or just simply eating good. What do you find yourself reaching for? What is the ultimate food like treasure at the end of the tunnel? Even more so, are you so obsessed with these foods that you make an effort to find healthier methods? I personally go for chocolate or chinese food if I treat myself. For chocolate I try dark chocolate, or even substitute it for blueberries or a random small bowl of cereal without milk. :P As for the chinese food, I've really gotten into making my own chinese food. I'm actually to the point where it tastes good and like restaurant food rather than bleh. It's obviously still not very healthy but it's a lot better homemade rather than msg, and reused oil infested food... O_O;;

So anyone else have a passion for a specific treat?

Pasta.

If a doctor told me I had one month to live, I would spend the entire month (every second of it) eating pasta.

Luckily enough for me (or not. I'm not sure), it isn't the pasta part that gets me, it's the sauce part. So I'm not entirely partial to noodles, even though I do love them. I'm starting to try to substitute the noodles for meats or veggie meats. I mean, my spaghetti sauce can stand on it's own without noodles, but other sauces not so much.

Chinese food is mostly bad because of the sodium, am I right? Because I love me some beef and broccoli. No carbs there. Hellz yeah.

I don't use much salt at all. I think the worst thing I use is oil. Frying... Other than that I use fresh ingredients for everything, it's not pre-packaged with what they want me to eat. I cook a large amount of chinese food for three other people when I make it. I make it a couple times a month just cause.

Hmmm. Probably chocolate. But I get into that *I'm going to reward myself* frame of mind far too often.

I think it's better to reward yourself more often then too little because at least that way you don't feel deprived.

My favorites are many, but I love festival food. Fresh fries, kettle corn, lemonade, so on. We are going to the Scottish Highland games in two weeks and I plan to have a bit of my favorites. If I don't, I will cry.

I have a thing for rice. I LOVE IT. Any kind -- whether it's a paella, jambalaya, stir fry, egg rice... RICE RICE RICE! And I can never have a little bit.. that would be silly of me. So I don't have it all Only brown rice (and that I can have just a 1/2 a cup because it's just not the same, lol).
Eventually, I plan on teaching myself to having a little on a splurge day
