Default 351 Pounds =( Need WeightLoss Buddies!!

To be honest, I am tired of being disgusted when I see myself in a mirror or in pictures. I am 24 years old and morbidly obese. I used to think that my weight was no problem because I have never had a desire to be skinny. I loved being a Big Beautiful Woman that shattered the stereotype about overweight women not being seen as eye candy. Everything about my curvacious body was awesome to me, that is until it started hindering my health. I started my diet 3 weeks ago and Lost weight but gained it back because of the bad eating at Christmas time. I would like to get to know people who have lost weight and who are currently losing weight. It would be awesome to get tips and get/recieve motivation and support when needed.

Hey I would love to be a weight loss buddy if you'll have me be one
I'm also 24. I can understand the feeling over never seeing yourself as eye candy.. I feel like the phrase "you look hott" is not a compliment as opposed to "you look gorgeous". I also lost some weight before Christmas, but gained 4 pounds back because I kept saying "Oh it's Christmas!" over and over. I hope we can tough this out together!

It is awesome that you are doing this for your health! That's the best reason. You will become more and more energetic with each pound you lose.

Just take it slowly and don't get easily discouraged...realize that it's ok if you have a "bad" food/eating/exercise day...you can always start over the next day.

This is an awesome journey to take -- good luck to you!

I'm 19 and I started at 345 pounds and I'm now 225 pounds. Feel free to ask me anything! It's excellent that you're doing it for health, you'll feel soo much better as you lose weight! So much more energy.

Hello Martha! I completely agree with you that it is more gratifying to be told that you are beautiful as opposed to "you are hot" lol. Chrismas was a killer! but I am pretty glad that I messed up because it showed me that I was getting too comfortable and now I am more disciplined this week. I would love for us to be weightloss buddies!

That would be awesome! Also, I think that if we come alone some diet tricks that help it would be great to tell eachother and see if we can't meet our goals together as a team!

I Love Love Love your attitude!!! I've been starting to feel the same way, I love how my body is subversive to our culture, and I feel that I can tear down the stereotype of what a beautiful body is. But then there's the health issue, and so I know I have to lose weight. It kinda makes me sad, because I feel that my body is making a statement, but because it's unhealthy, I have to stop making that statement. I guess we can't have it both ways!

Good luck, you sound very driven!

Exactly how I feel! When I was under 300 pounds I was such a diva and people always used to ask me was I a plus sized model. Ever so often I would come across someone saying that I needed to lose weight. I would laugh in their face and sashay away lol Once I got over 300 pounds I noticed that I couldn't move around as well...my knees started popping out of place and it was hard for me to breathe at night without the use of a fan. I couldn't even take my kids to the park without being exhausted afterward. I figured that I would have to do something about my weight. So I went to the doctor and they told me that I would live much longer being this overweight so I am VERY driven to live a healthy life for my daughters and it would be awesome to have friends to talk to along the way

I think giving tips and just overall encouragement when needed...or we can make it like a friendly challenge to see who wins the most weight each week....something to keep us motivated!

P.S. Why can't we chat on here??? Does anyone have facebook? If so, add me! /AshleyRenne
