Unhappy Overweight & Unemployed :(

In a nutshell ive been unemployed for over a year after i left my job to better myself and go to collage however it back fired and i wasnt eligable for any staudent funding etc and i had to leave my course. A year down the line it has been a constant battle applying for jobs and interviews have been few and far between.

I am in the middle of starting my own Spray Tanning Business and have recently just passed my driving test so they are POSITIVES but its dragging along and i thort i would have been set up by now but its gona be well in to new year.
I have had the job centre booking me in for appointments to learn how to job search i mean how degrading but they threating to stop my benifit. What do they think ive been doing the past year

Before this stint i have never been out of work, its really knocked my confidence and my weight has sky rocketed by 2stone which i have been also struggling with shifting for the past year.
On the plus i have a great BF who totally supports me and im looking forward to our future. But right this min , im in a rut and so need to get out.

Anyone in same boat............or got any nice success stories to share........i need something to lift my spirits

Oh giiiiirl, do I understand.

I'm a little further along in my journey than you, I'm working two jobs now, have lost twenty of the 40 pounds I packed on during unemployment, and trying to pay off my bills so I can move out of my grandmother's house and go back to school, but MAN I was in your kind of rut for the entire last winter. It's horrible. I deal with seasonal depression anyway, then I lost my job, and literally spent the entire winter hanging on the computer and stuffing my face.

It sucks, but it totally gets better.

Just keep working hard and doing your best! Just like your weight, the employment situation won't look better if you give up. Keep trying and stay focused, things always turn around given enough time

I feel for you! I was out of a job for 5 months and it sucked! I felt worthless the whole time, finally found a job this week...

Hang in there! It will happen for you too!

I understand how you feel . I haven't worked in several years because of severe back issues. One of my reasons to lose weight was so I could help manage m pain enough to be able to return to work. I am in my first semester to college and I am thinking of working part time but there are just no jobs around here either. Even my husband has been out of work for a year! It's just really tough right now. I know you can do it, don't give up hope. We all have to hit a low point before things start getting better. I truly believe this and I expect better things for everyone in the new year
