I need to get it together.

  • first of all congrats on you're weight loss!!! you're doing great.

i think you have the right attitude- you don't want to gain weight back and want to keep the progress going. but, at the same time, life does get in way sometimes. i was the same in college. finals would roll around and i would live off of caffine, nicotine, and salty/sweet snacks.

one of the most difficult things to do is to get back on the wagon once you've fallen off. and that what you have to do. if you can't get to the gym due to finals, then make it a point to eat on plan (whatever your plan may be). if you think it would be easier to get to the gym rather than eat on plan, then do that. sometimes we CAN'T get everything in. and that's ok- just push yourself to get on plan. its a new day, a new week- whatever- every passing moment is another chance to turn it around, right?

you're not going to give up- i find reading posts on here and even watching shows on TV about weight loss does keep me motivated and on track.

    good luck on your finals!
  • In my opinion, with finals, if you only have time to do one thing, EAT ON PLAN. From my experience and I've had a lot, when I'm eating a lot of junk food, my thinking isn't as clear. For me, the longer I'm off track with my eating, the harder it is to get back on. Congratulations on your weight loss!!!
  • glad to help!
just remember that you have the power to stay on track and stay in control. i had a mini binge last night. (well, not so mini- i made a box of pilaf and ate the whole thing. it feeds 3-4 people). but, i made a decision today to forget it and move on. i asked myself why i need to eat it, answered myself (lol) and stayed on track today. just take it one day at a time, especially during finals
    good luck!
  • I had been so good and on plan since June and then two weeks ago I went on a holiday and despite all the promises to not eat badly, I got off the plane with my mouth open and ate anything that I could get my hands on. When I got back, I was terrfieid about about getting on the scale. I stood next to the scale for 20 minutes just looking at it and finally decided that it didnt matter what the scale said. i would treat it as a new begining. I removed my record of all previous weightloss and started with a clean slate. it actually really helped, Having said that though, on sunday I ate a LOT of cake which is as far as you can get from my plan.

This morning my scale was up by 2.3kg which i am hoping is water weight but again, am back on plan. not sure how that helps, but I think we all go through it and we all deviate at some point from the diet but its important to get back on the eating plan and not let these off plan deviations ruin all our hard work .

    goodluck with your studies!
