End of day 2

  • It is the end of day 2 and the cravings are starting and my mind is wandering so posting here is better than going downstairs to the kitchen.

Can you have ricotta cheese as a snack at night (dessert)?

    Thanks
  • I think so, as long as you have not gone over your dairy limit, does that sound right?
  • You can have anything you want at any time, as long as it fits into the plan.
  • Ricotta is a dessert I hear people having all the time. So I say go for it!!!

Ricotta is not considered a dairy. I ate the ricotta dessert every night on Phase I. It was one of the things that kept me going!
  • wow thanks for the info, i bought my first ever ricotta last night and i am loving it!
  • Thanks, made it through day 2, going for a walk now.
    What is the dairy limit?

I have also been having the 75 calories of SF allowed sweets every day (SF popsicles - 25 cals. each)
  • Quote: What is the dairy limit?
    MILK/DAIRY
Except for half and half, 2 cups allowed daily, including nonfat yogurt or lowfat plain yogurt
    Greek Yogurt nonfat
    Low-fat milk (fat-free and 1%)
    Fat-free 1/2 & 1/2 (2 tablespoons)
Low-fat plain, vanilla, or artificially sweetened soy milk (4 grams of fat or less per 8 ounce serving). Be sure the product does not contain high fructose corn syrup
    1% or fat-free buttermilk
yogurt low fat or nonfat plain

Do you have access to a book? If not, I would bookmark the Phase I & II food lists in the FAQ's. It's very helpful to refer to.
  • Thanks Anne

I do have the book but it is the original one which doesn't include alot of the new choices. I will bookmark what you suggested.
  • I've never had ricotta!
  • LOVE LOVE'D ricotta on p1 as dessert with sf maple syrup an walnuts....delish and so rich it was almost like cannoli filling...ENJOY!
  • Glad you're sticking to it beth0811! IT's so worth it!
One day at a time and it will get easier!
  • I personally can't stand the ricotta. LOL. So I have a NSA fudgesicle every night. Now, I'm confused...1% milk is okay then? I printed off a food list off a website, and it says 1% milks is NOT okay. ??
  • on the latest approved food list, it says fat-free and 1% milk is ok.
