I am new to this site, and I am hoping that this will aid in my weight loss goal



  • So i am currently 309lbs, and in about a month I am hoping to loose about 30lbs all together by the end of summer (about 3 months). The monthly goal is about 10 lbs or more. I am going to a wedding July 24th in Sacramento California, and I wearing an adorable dress, that might look just a bit better if i just lost a bit more weight. I am hoping to loose about 20lbs by then. I carry alot of weight in my hips and legs, and a little in my arms, I tend to loose weight first in my torso and arms.
    So the plan I am going to follow is pretty regimented. I am going to be doing a shake diet (Kirkland weight loss shakes). About two a day and eating a cliff bar or full bar to supplement, and for the rest of the day eat only fruits and veggies. Apart of my problem also lies in the fact that I eat after five o clock and I use to practice that but got out of the habit.
    Let's see where this takes me by July 24th.
  • I know your diet sure wouldn't work for me but I wish you luck with your goal before the wedding. I've been losing more than 10 pounds a month recently by eating 1300 to 1500 calories a day of whole healthy food and getting a reasonable amount of exercise (taking the dogs for a long walk and trying to do some Wii fit 4 or 5 days a week so not strenuous at all). Losing weight fast is easier when we're really over weight so I think you'll have good results. But I also think you'd then keep the weight off more easily if you went with a diet that was more sustainable than shakes and "health" bars.....
  • Welcome. Since Chicks can be overwhelming at first, I suggest you look for a support group or challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated. Find one you like that fits your needs, or inspires you, and just post to join.

  • I am also new here! I have been doing the South Beach Diet for about 2 months and I have lost 30lbs! I love the SB Diet, it has been so easy and producing results. I eat ALL the time (good stuff of course) and I am never hungry. I highly recommend it. I did try the calorie counting method and noticed that I cheated a lot because it was too hard to keep up with so good luck, I know how difficult it is!! =)
