I've started lurking on the maintainers forum recently. I'm in transition from achieving a goal weight to making healthy eating and exercise a permanent lifestyle.
I have so many emotions about maintenance. I'm both afraid and excited by the road ahead. There is so much to learn & so many pitfalls to overcome.
The 40 pound weight loss happened in only 7 months + 20 years of mistakes & flailing.
I feel like I know myself so much better now & I have learned that I cannot feed my food addiction & lose weight sensibly. Food is no longer my crutch to deal with my problems and feelings. It's nutrition to fuel my body and keep me healthy.
Anyway, I have a long road ahead in the maintenance journey and I am so glad that you are all here at 3FC. I couldn't have done it without you.
