Onederland at last!!

  • Hot diggity dog! I weighed in at 199.6 today. Ok- I know that isn't that far from my start weight , but counting calories and working out I could not get below 203. I have been out of town from Thursday at lunch until supper yesterday. That is a lot of meals in restaurants and hotels. I did ok- I lost 1-2 lbs during this time away. I think sometimes I didn't get enough calories in. I was always in ketosis. Oh yeah - I was kind of bad and had a couple of low carb beers here and there - I know I know - totally off limits, but I told myself I'm on vacation and if I stall I stall. I hope this will be a good week. I just spent a fortune at the store for the next 2 weeks. When I would buy snacks for my teenage son, I would make him store them in his room because I had no will power. Well today - no issues - cookies etc....are right in the pantry and I have no cravings for them. (He actually eats pretty good - lots of chicken).
  • Yay!! That's awesome and such a cool feeling!! Congrats!
  • That's great..Getting there is also a good motivation booster to keep going.. cause you know you are doing it right...Congrats!!!! You should feel proud...
  • WHOOHOOOO CONGRATS !!
  • Yay!!! That is so good! I know you must be happy. I'm very happy for you, too. It feels great to lose weight -- especially to get over those numbers that mean so much to us mentally.
  • Congratulations! I went through the same thing. I knew I wasn't getting enough calories. In my mind though, I still gear more towards that way of thinking, "Less calories=weight loss". It wasn't that I was purposely not eating enough calories, I had been running to the barn every day after work, dealing with a really sick horse and wanting to get there as soon as I could and not even grab anything, not that I had anything really in the fridge to grab...hadn't gone grocery shopping for me, but for my horse, yes, but that was only to grab the last 5 large bottles of Kayro syrup.
But still, I'd get on the scale in the mornings and not see even a 1 lb. loss. So, I've upped the food intake, LC, but had a slip up last night and ate a handful of almonds and cashews. I was starving, but saw a 2 lb. loss this morning. I'll take 2 lbs. over 0 lbs.
I'm doing some menus, then a grocery list, so this weekend, I'll be cooking, having planned better, freezing individual portions and will be back on track.
