Hello!

  • My name is Karri and I'm 25 years old. At the moment i weigh 275lbs and would like to get down to about 150 if I can. I want to look good for my husband and feel better about myself. I hope that joining y'all on here that I will be able to reach my goal with help to stay on track. I also hope that we can all be friends.
  • of course you can get to 150!! as you know, its going to be hard, but you can do it!!
  • Hey, me and you are at the exact same weight!!

And yes, you can, it's just going to be hard.
I've seen so many stories of people who weight MORE then us, getting down to 120-135. So it's most definitely possibly, it's just not going to happen overnight, ya know!??

Me, my ultimate goal weight is 120-130. But i realize that's a long way off......
I think it helps if you set intermediate goals!
My first goal, is to get down to 195-200. Because even though that's still overweight, it's no longer morbidly obese! And it's sure enough to make people do a double, if not TRIPLE-take! haha.

Well i look forward to being on the site with you Karri!!

  • Ofcourse you can get to 150lbs! This place is a great resource, and I'm sure it will keep you right on track!
  • Hi Karri!
Sounds like you're ready for a healthier and happier you - the support you need is here to achieve your goal - we'll all be here to cheer you on..

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated and inspired. Try the 20 somethings, the 100 lb club and the weight loss support forums, they're active and very helpful - also the Success stories are a definite must for motivation.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here since last fall, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of going off track or giving up. It has made all the difference in my success so far.

So welcome - you've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
    Lee

  • I would like to thank all of you for the warm welcome. I would like to say that I took the first step to a better me today. My husband took me to Ihop tonight for dinner and i didn't get my normal Sampler dinner. I actually got the smaller portion of the meal. I also had coffee and didn't use as much sugar as I normally do. I'm starting with small steps. And for the next moth it's going to be hard. My husband and I are going on a trip to see our mothers and No One cooks like mommy.
  • you just have to really think what is going to make you happier. is eating mom's delicious cooking going to make you feel good tomorrow? no. eating something healthy will. it's not worth it. no food is.
  • YOU CAN DO IT!!! Looking forward to seeing you reach your goal!! I'm surely going to meet my goal. So no reason why you shouldn't.
