Smile Let's Start Over

I actually signed up for 3FC awhile back but I became very bogged down by stresses in my life and stopped before I even started really participating here on the board. However, I am back and fully committed to losing weight.

My name is Lynn, and I have been battling my weight since a teen. I am now almost 33, and I am afraid that my weight is taking its toll. I don't want to die young. I think I have said this before, but I didn't feel as committed. I don't have a choice anymore. The weight is emotionally and physically dragging me down. I cannot have it anymore.

I hope to make some buddies here that will provide me with structure and encouragement that I badly need.

Thanks!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! Oooh, you've landed in a good place. Feel free to post wherever you feel comfortable, but do think about popping into the 100lb Club. Lots of great support there and very active. The 300+ club is great too. No matter what, though, post often. It's the best way to stay accountable.

Welcome!
I did the same exact thing! I originally joined back in Febuary but never even posted anything! I just started again yesterday! I am about your age too(34) and am tired of feeling the way I do- emotionally and mentally as well as physically. I wish you the best of luck-- may we both be successful in our journey towards happiness and healthiness! Take care!

Hi Lynn!

Glad to have you back with us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are lots of people here with more to lose and lots with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome back - join in by inspiring us and being inspired! YOU CAN DO THIS!

Thanks everyone for the inspiration and motivation. I love my hubby but he's very lackadaisical and doesn't want to change as much as he talks about it. I do.

So far, I have lost 7 pounds this week. I have gone from 321 to 314.
