Default What plan are you guys doing? What has seen the best results?

I'm kinda just trying to restrict calories to 1300-1500 a day and burn about 500 calories between cardio and weights.

pretty much been doing exactly what you are doing for the past 13kg or so. To break a plateau ive had to up my exercise intensity and go for a more whole foods plan rather than just calorie counting, but pretty much eating between 1200 and 1500 cal a day, with exercise 5/7 days a week. Works for me

My plan is similar, not really a plan, just reasonable calorie/fat intake restriction, trying to eat healthier foods in general (adding a lot of fruits and veggies, no refined flour, and lean protein), and exercising. I try to run 4-5 times a week (with a long run on the weekend) and lift 2-3 times. I started just in the past few weeks, so I can't really say how it is working in terms of pounds lost (I always seem to gain a few when I start a workout plan), but I am certainly shaping up some and feeling better. If anyone has had particularly good luck with WW or South Beach, etc. I would love to hear about it.

I previously started doing Weight Watchers and did really well with it. I lost about 17 lbs in 2 months or so. I like it because if I decide to splurge I use my points and don't feel guilty about it. Also, it really helped me keep track of what I was eating.

Same with me about WW. If you stick with it, it really works

This is what I'm doing now. No need to pay when there are about 80 iPhone apps for free.

I'm on WW, an older system that I stole from my mother. Its been the only solid thing that works for me...every time I try the "i'm going to eat better and just move more!!" plan, I can't stick to it. The Points system keeps me accountable.

I try to stay under 1300 calories a day & have recently started exercising. Just from changing my eating habits I've lost 20+ lbs so far.

Calc Points (the icon is orange with a crescent moon) - it allows you to add calories, fat and fiber (up to 4 grams).

I also have a Daily Count app - you can use it to track calories/points, whatever you want, and you list your foods and exercise. My only problem with this one is if I do 2 points worth of exercise, it gives me 2 more "eating poitns" and I try not to use my AP's, so I have to watch that. I think this one was free.

I also have a Nutrition Facts one - I can search for the calroies/fat/fiber of other foods.

I kind of use all 3 in combination, but WW does have its on iPhone app, you just have to be a (paying) member.
