Hey Everyone! I am new here and have a question. I want to use a custom avatar, but when I finally get it small enough to upload, it is way too small to see! The photo is in a jpg format. Any suggestions?

Maybe you can also post a larger version on your profile? I know sometimes if I see an interesting avatar (like before and after pics), I'll look at the profile to see if I can get a closer look.

You could try cropping the photo of the most important part to the proper size. There are many free image manipulating programs that allow you to do this easily (try doing a search for Irfan View).

If you still can't figure out the pic, maybe I could help. I have photoshop and work with images quite a bit, so I could try cropping and/or optimizing your photo to the right size.

Sometimes the easiest thing to do is to take away some quality to make the image smaller. If it's that small, you won't really notice. Get it to 110x150 and then work on saving it at a lesser quality.

Megwini's idea is good. Make it bigger but save it in a lower quality format so it still meets the requirements.
