Default Oops.. I spoiled my dinner.

So. Today was a busy day - my car was in the shop and I ended up doing all sorts of errands with the man. We ate lunch at 11 - and then got busy and didn't eat anything in between. At about 4:00 I realized I was famished so I started snacking on some chips and salsa (homemade salsa!)... and I did an oopsies. I don't know why I can't control my hand and mouth sometimes - I ended up eating way too much, and now that it's 6 pm and I have friends coming at 6:30 for dinner - I'm not hungry! Eeek! And we're making shish kebabs! So, I am feeling cheeky and childish because I did exactly what my mother always warned me not to do.. which is spoil my dinner. Any other chicks do/done this?

At least the kebabs are mostly veggie.. I'll just eat light. Sigh! I wish I had a smaller appetite!

I do that all the time. I ate too much today and I feel sick. : ( I find that having water before I start snacking or eatting is helpful! I wrote you a love note.

Ahhh, all the time.
I have a really bad habit of waiting to make myself dinner until I'm HUNGRY.... and then while my dinner is in the oven/microwave/on the stove, I'm standing there. Waiting. In the kitchen. Surrounded by food. And the next thing I know, I'm munching on nuts, or rye toast, or corn chips. Bad news bears!

I do the same thing. If I'm really hungry and I'm waiting on my food to cook I have to remove myself from the kitcken or I'll start snacking on nuts, grapes, anything really. I'm like HELLO dinner will be ready soon, why are you eating? Yeah it's kind of annoying.

haha! I'm glad I'm not the only who does this, then. I guess I need a scolding from my mom to remind me not to do it!

I did the same thing last night. Me and my husband ordered some take out (pasta-already fattening enough) and I couldn't wait 45 min for it to be delivered since it had been about 7 hours since I ate anything. I grabbed a box of triscuits planning to only have a few. About halfway through the box I snapped out of my food coma and had to force myself to put the box down! Then even though I wasn't very hungry anymore I finished my take out (since it never tastes as good the next day). Needless to say, I felt sick after.

OperationNewRegime--- never.... ever take a whole box of something with you, lol. It's totally my downfall. Even if I intend to eat the stupidest smallest amount of something in the world, I put it in a bowl now, and put the box/bag away, because I do JUST what you do, lol. I just don't notice how much of it I'm snacking on, hehehe.

I eat at the oddest times. I wait 2 hours before breakfast because I'm not hungry at all when I wake up and the thought of food makes my stomach turned off. I can eat lunch anywhere between 1-4 and then that means I eat dinner at 6-9. I also eat at weird times to work around my exercise. If I wait too long before dinner, I want a snack. But then I think about it spoiling my dinner and I decide to wait. But then I usually get so famished that I think I'm going to faint. So I eat something and it turns out dinner is ready. It's frustrating, especially if dinner is something yummy. Over the years I've learned to eat a tiny snack if the wait is more than 20 minutes.
