Still want to drop another 65 lbs..Can you help =0)

  • Hi all;

    So I recently dropped 108 lbs and now for the past month I have stayed at my current weight of 236 lbs and would like some tips on how to get past my stand still. Maybe some diet tips or a different workout regimine.
  • What kind of plan are you already following? Workouts? Menue? It would help to know what you are doing now, to suggest changes you could make.
  • My current diet in low fat 3 meals a day with a snack. I cut out fried food, soda/juice, and all fast food.. My work out routine is 45 mins of cardio and 30 minsof weight training.

    Though I must admit I have not been sticking to my gym routine as I have been getting bored. So if you have some tips let me know.
  • 108lbs?!? Congratulations!!! and I don't wonder that your body may have decided just to stand still a bit and take stock.

    Sorry, nothing helpful to add, except to ask how many calories you're on, I just wanted to say well done!
  • I think you might find if you started counting calories or points that possibly you're still eating a lot more than you think, even if you have cut out a lot of foods already. What you were eating may have evened out to maintain in the 230's and now to go farther you'll have to be a little more strict with your eating.

    Congratulations on the amazing loss so far!
  • It could be the opposite - too few calories. Especially if sticking to a low fat diet. That's why it's important when you have a lot to lose to make sure that you eat enough. It can also depend on the intensity of cardio and/or weight training. I forget the specific number of weeks, but your weight routine should change every so often (ie. different moves and/or heavier weights). Your muscles get used to what you're doing and you need to change it up.
  • I would up your cardio to a full hour. And start counting your calories.
  • I just wanted to say CONGRATS! We're the same height and have lost the same amount of weight so far. I stalled at 99 lbs for 3 months but continued to lose size...are you taking measurements?
