I am a 30 year old from Seattle. In the last year and a half I have lost 30 lbs with regular strength training classes and cardio (combined for 4-6 times a week) and a healthier vegan diet.
I am ready to drop those last 20, maybe only 10-15 (we'll see how that feels), and it has been SO HARD!!!!
I know it gets harder the closer you become to an "ideal" weight, but I am really struggling. Due to a shoulder injury, I am cutting way back on the weights, and focusing on cardio (mostly intense elliptical intervals and jogging 6 days a week) for a few more weeks. I am very muscular already, so I hope it won't do too much damage?
Diet wise, I am trying to incorporate SuperFoods into my diet with the suggested servings and frequency (found the list here
) and keep it around 1500 calories a day. The goal overall would be to limit any refined sugars or carbs, eat more vegetables, beans, and whole grains, and design every meal around a good protein source. I have recently added fish into my diet (still no eggs or dairy) and it's working very well for me.My first goal is to lose 5 lbs in 25 days.
After that, I would like to lose the next 5 in four weeks.
That last ten...eek-who knows?????
I would love to meet others here on this board with similar or completely different takes on this whole dieting experience.
Good luck everyone, and thanks for the support.

Sounds like you have a plan!
