Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Britnee. I have been struggling with my weight for the last ten years. I was never heavy as a kid, but that changed drastically with my first pregnancy. My big "aha" moment (actually it was more like a "oh no!" moment) came last year when I stepped on the scale and realized that I weighed exactly twice what I did on the day I graduated high school.
I did what anyone would do...I got depressed, found solace in food, and packed on another 14 pounds.
Three months ago, I had some early warning signs of diabetes. It really scared me and I decided enough is enough. I'm done feeling sorry for myself and I'm done making excuses.
I cut out all of the junk food and sugar from my diet 12 weeks ago today. So far, I am down 23 pounds. I still have a long way to go, but it's a start!
