Default Is there a pill out there? I need help. :-(

I know the right way to lose weight is diet and fitness. However, I am still interested in finding the right diet pill, to help with the process. I am very sensitive to caffeine, so anything that contains the smallest ingredient for energy, gives me ridiculous jitters. I have read about Somnaslim, as it appears more of a stress-reliever than a diet pill. If anyone has any good information, I would really appreciate it. As I said, I know it is to be taken in conjunction with a healthy plan. I just need something to give me a boost, if there is anything out there. I am so discouraged with so much weight to lose, I find myself doing nothing. Please help me.

If you can follow a low fat diet you might like to consider Alli (Orlistat) but only if you are able to be strict with your fat intake otherwise the consequences will not be pleasant. I get the precription version of this from my doctor (Xenical) and its worked well for me (see my stats) but I NEVER eat cakes, chocolates, pastries, anything deep fried etc but, other than chocolate, I wasn't keen on these items anyhow. Portion control has been important for me. I mainly eat the kind of things I did before, just less of it.

I don't know how much you weigh but I can say we have all been there at some point, overwhelmed by the weight we have to lose.

One thing to do is concentrate on smaller goals. Losing 100 lbs seems impossible but losing 10 lbs, seems manageable right? Well if you lose 10 lbs, 10 times, you have lost 100 lbs.

Really there is no pill that will give you a boost, they generally only give boosts to other people's wallets. You could try something like Alli if you need help following a low fat diet but really OTC diet pills can be dangerous and aren't really effective.

If there was a pill that actually worked it would be in all the newspaper, TV, radio, magazines, internet and people would be lined up around the block to buy it at any price.

Reality is eat less and exercise more. Weight loss takes time and you need to learn a new lifestyle in the process.

Nothing works as good as some discipline, drive and a splash of determination. Like quilter said, if there was a pill that worked everyone would take it and we would all be thin.

The only pill that is needed is the hardest one to swallow I am afraid, nothing but hard work will pay off where weight loss is part of the equation, I am not an expert but I think the opinion is worth the price paid

good luck on your weight loss adventure.

I agree with everyone...It is yourself that needs to give you that boost. Not a pill. You have to do it for you. Make the lifestyle change work for you.

Take a good multi-vitamin with breakfast. I have found I seem to crave less during the day if my body gets a nice shot of vitamins with breakfast.

Other than that, just learn self discipline. It's a hard road, but no one here who's lost the weight would ever tell you it wasn't worth it.
