Default P.m.s. ?

O.K. does anybody else ever have super-duper cravings with little self control during that wonderful P.M.S week ?
Today utterly sucked......no energy and wanted to eat stuff I don't even like. I fought and still went over 340 calories....I don't want to lose ground..So how do you handle the cravings ? I will try anything short of standing on my head. Help....please

I wish I could tell you what to do but i seem to have the same problem.

i go crazy and it's not all crazy on the food either. I really feel like I'm going crazy for a few days.

No one likes to be around me at all either. Who could blame them.

I get carb cravings the day before. I usually tough it out. I'm not terribly good at tracking so I'm often unaware why I'm having the hungry day until the d'oh! moment.

I will wake up with PMS cravings and want chineese food, grilled cheese &grapes. On these days I double my water and carry almonds with me everywhere so if I can't take the cravings I'll pop a few nuts. The protien seems to help curb the craving.

Eating sugar, too much caffeine, and too much salt the week before can make cravings worse. Other than that, there is a bright side. Between ovulation and your period your body actually burns 300-500 more calories per day. So, don't beat yourself up, it'll probably even out.

Apart from the very occasional surprise visit, I'm beyond PMS now, woohoo! but every month for 41 years she took me by surprise and I ate sugar like it was going on ration. Well done those of you who resist!
