So I just finished my second 10 km race. I did worse than the first time, and I've injured my hip. I'm trying not to get discouraged because I really want to run a half marathon this spring in May. The truth is however, that I definately wasn't training enough for the 10km, but plan to especially as the weather gets warmer. It's cold here in Canada eh? Anyways, there isn't much to this rant, i just needed to get it out there, and my endorphines are a little weird right now. I always talk a lot after a long run. Then sleep for like.. hours lol.
thanks for listening!

At least you got out there and ran which is an accomplishment in itself. I'm sure you'll get into the shape you'd like to be in and tackle the half marathon in May.
That's amazing! You should be really proud of yourself despite the setbacks. I can only dream of running a 10k.
Ditto you should really be proud of yourself. I would like to run a 5K or 10K too but lack the confidence as it stands right now. I run each and every morning (3-4 miles) but I am not fast--maybe an 11 minute mile.

Congrats on getting out there! Is it the Ottawa half marathon you want to run? I'm running it too! I'm from Ottawa so I'm excited about it. Right now I'm training about 50km a week for it and over the next 3 months I will up it to about 60km/week. Even if you're not 100% ready for it you should do it, you could surprise yourself. And registering for it will force you to train. Good luck!
Thanks! Yeah, it's the ING half marathon during Ottawa's race weekend that I'm planning to do. Last year, I did the MDS 5km because I was just getting into running, and now I really want to do more.. hence the 10km races in between. Thanks for the support!
P.S. My leg is KILLING ME!!!!
