Im sort of new here. In that I havent started any weight loss plan as of yet. Ive been lurking and looking. I want to start something that I know I will be able to stick to and finish. In the past I have done Weight Watchers Point Plan, Ive done Atkins and South Beach. I liked South Beach and WW the Best of the 3 though. I am desperate to once and for all get this weight off me. It is causing me some health problems. I currently weigh close to 265 lbs and I am only 5 foot 3 and I have High Blood Pressure, Possible Sleep Apnea, Heart Valve Problems/Heart Murmur, other health/weight related issues. I say they are related to my weight because I was watching a show on TV (I beleive it was Oprah with Dr. Oz) and he was talking about all the Health Issues that are related to Obesity and I had almost all of them! My BMI is Morbidly Obese. Im only 40 years old and Im not ready to die. I just became a Grandmother for the first time in June of last year and my daughter is expecting again and due in July, so Im feeling anxious at having become a grandmother twice in the space of one year. lol I guess what Im asking is if anyone would share tips with me as to what has worked for them as far as plans,,,etc. I eat a lot of Meat, very little veggies, I love Cheese, though I am lactose Intolerant and dont drink Milk, I HATE milk. I love Yogurt though, especially the Whipped Ones. I love Fruit Smoothies too. I like Bread, but I can eat the low sugar, wheat...etc ones. I looked into starting the Alli but frankly Im afraid of the Diarreah it says that it can cause. Any thoughts?
