It's about time that Joelle left. yay but i felt way bad for Carla. I wanted her to stay. She had too many excuses. What did u guys think of the episode?
I let you spoil it for me... I like to know in advance hehe. It starts soon so I'll watch it and have more input later but as of right now I can say that it is about time Joelle got booted, she was a complainer! I did like Carla though she had an awesome personality. Oh the drama of reality TV!
I am so happy that Joelle went home ... she's such an idiot and I think she was hurting everyone with being there. I did also feel bad for Carla because she really wanted it.
I hope Brown does ok next week. I feel so bad for the son, I think everyone here knows how hard it is to be young and overweight.
I seriously think Joelle has a mental problem. Like, I think something is wrong with her brain. I'm not even being mean I seriously think that. Her excuse for not losing any weight was that she was upping her intensity. WTF! Wouldn't that make you LOSE MORE weight??? Also, when they saw each other for the first time in months,Carla was trying to let bygones be bygones and when she asked Joelle how she felt about the last time they saw each other she was like "What are you referring to" WTF! She is just so stupid I literally think she has mental problems.
You know, Joelle was treated badly the entire time. Bob jumped on her and everyone else followed his lead, then blogger started in on her. It sort of became a thing where it's totally cool to bash her. She got it from Bob, everyone on the ranch, Her friend, and fans.
Just because someone doesn't stand up for themselves doesn't mean they deserve to get picked on, called stupid, lazy or accused of having a mental problem. There are people right here who been having a hard time losing weight and she has dropped 57 pounds. NBC and the producers wanted a villain and singled out Joelle. Everyone bought it, hook line and sinker. I'm glad she home and in a safe place. I also glad dumbed her fake friend Carla who joined in with the mob.
It can't be easy trying to lose weight on TV with everyone against you. I wish her the best success. She seems like a sweet person.
It's to the point when anyone wants to defend her they have to start out "I'm not fan of Joelle but..." Like they need a license to like or defend her.
joelle was being lazy they showed it in the gym and if anyone knew how she was being it would be her BEST FRIEND. carla wanted it others wanted it joelle did not. she lost 57 pounds but there was clearly a disconnect she constantly lied and made excuses she seemed like there was something that did not click with her.
from what carla said about her u could tell this isnt the first time joelle has been a flake.
carla is a good person and friend and did not deserve to go home. joelle should have cared more about herself and her friend and pushed it in the gym to stay.
she was always moving slowly or watching others in the gym. come on now they work out 6-8 hrs a day and u lose 0 pounds and 2 pounds yr not doing something seriously
joelle was a crap friend. if my best friend did that to me we would have major problems
I am just disgusted that Joelle couldn't even admit that she was selfish to Carla at their meeting. I would think an experience like that would bring you closer together with somebody that truly cared about you. I think it was painfully obvious that Joelle doesn't have the capacity to care for her friend like that. She is very juvenile in the way she expresses herself, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out she has some sort of personality disorder.
I loved how Bob and Jillian reacted during the at-home contestant's weigh in. They addressed some concerns I think many have with the show, that:
*TBL is like the Olympics of weightloss. Results are NOT typical.
and
*CUT the excuses! Yeah, the yellow team member only lost 2 pounds in 30 days. It's not because she was building muscle. She has 5 kids and a crazy busy life and she hasn't gotten her eating sorted out yet. "Don't sugar coat it. It is what it is".
They acknowledged that it's a reality show and everything is intensified and losing weight at home is a totally different ballgame. But the trainer's facial expressions were priceless!
Also, I was really disappointed that Carla and Joelle were sent home. I had hoped that something would "click" with Joelle, but I agree with Kimmieone on this one- even though I think she was "off", the deck was so stacked against her. People are gaga over Bob and would follow him into a burning building (remember Heba from last season? I thought she was going to give him a matching BFF heart necklace or something). It was immediately cool to hate Joelle. But I really really liked Carla and wish her all the success in the world. Joelle, too
I'm glad to hear Joelle is leaving, she bugged me, whether it was orchestrated by NBC or not, she bugged me. She had air of complacency about her like somehow she'd lose weight by osmosis or something. She was depending on Carla to pull her through and would have continued to do so. I think Carla would have been a force to be reckoned though with and a big personality too, I'm sad she's gone.
I thought it was sort of creepy how Joelle would just space out in the middle of people talking to her. Total avoidance. You could see her eyes glaze and she just kept saying the same thing over and over. I think Carla could have been more supportive, instead of getting upset and yelling. I could see where she was coming from but the way Joelle seemed to tune her out should have tipped her off that she needed to take a different approach. I think Joelle was expecting something totally different from the experience and when she didn't get it, she gave up.
Also the way she was trying to be over-articulate and use buzzwords that Bob and Jillian used ('I do not know to what you are referring,' and 'I was working on my intensity') makes me think that she is really insecure about the whole thing and just wanted out. The look in her eyes when she talked was like a trapped animal. After awhile I felt bad for her because she just had no idea how badly she screwed her 'best friend.'
Personally I think Joelle was a pain and she needed to go. I think she is the type of person who can' t work with someone yelling at her (because she has lost weight on her own). HOwever eff that there is no way I would let ppl talk to me any kind of way team-mates and competing players alike. I am glad she at least stood up for herself (even if her excuses didn't make sense) before she left and when she saw Carla again. If she and Carla were friends the whole then Carla knew what type of person Joelle was (spacy and feeble minded) so even do the show together?????
And I am tired of Brown Teams sob story also..."boohoohoo I failed my son again for millionth time...don't kick my son off...boohoohoo"
And that winch Aubrey that only lost 2 pounds in 30 days had no room to talk about anyone (fussing at Joelle). All of sudden she comes back to the ranch for a week and actually works and loses 10 lbs and now she "diet effin queen....winch please"!!! Worry about yourself.

Yeah I thought it was hilarious that Jillian was like "okay did you even work out with 5 kids?" and Aubrey swore that she was in the gym 2-3 hours per day and Jillian flat out was like "Um no." I thought that was HILARIOUS. Then Aubrey started to give some excuse about poor eating but if you're working out 3 hours per day you have to eat EVERYTHING in sight to only lose 2 pounds in a month.
