Default Holy Motivation, Batman!!

Seriously...where did my motivation come from today?? I have NO idea!!

BUT, when I went to the gym and weighed in, I was at the same spot, 205. I was annoyed. SERIOUSLY annoyed, and I said "Ya know what? Get your fluffy butt down to the treadmill and do something about it!" So I got down to the treadmills and started doing my regular workout (Normally 30 - 45 mins at 4.2 walking)

When I got to about 8 minutes, I said "Screw that, at 10 minutes I'm just going to run." Now, let me explain something. I DO NOT run. Under any circumstances. IF there is a rabid polar bear on fire chasing me with a spear, I might consider jogging. I am totally anti-run. But for some reason tonight I just said "Okay chica, enough with the pity party. Let's do this shiz."

And I ran. FOR 10 FULL MINUTES AT 5.2!!! WHAT?!?!?? Who is this girl thinking she can just DO that?!?!? Well it's me, and I actually enjoyed it (sort of. I mean, who REALLY likes running as much as they like getting foot massages or playing with puppies...). I ran for 10 minutes, then walked for 10, then ran for another 7, then walked until 45:00 came around. It was so fun, and I feel like I really DID something. I was sweaty and a hot mess, but it felt really good!

Just thought I'd share with people who'd really understand

What makes you think I'd understand, artsnsmarts? I am totally awestruck, but don't misundertake me........I totally don't understand. I DO understand the "I don't run" part........and the neat description of what it would take to MAKE you run.......but, I am very, very impressed. I do believe you will build on it, and it will really turn you into a runner, a doer.......you GO, girl!

Wootwooooot! That's amazing. Hang on to that feeling and ride that wave of motivation as long as you possibly can. Days that you just don't feel like doing anything, look back at this thread.

Congrats!! Running is not easy! It'll definitely blast some more calories, especially if you are alternating walking and running.. you won't be seeing that number for long!!
