Low-cal (Guilt free?) Recipes/foods

  • I am always looking for more!!! What are your go-to's?

    1. I have an ice-cream maker, so I buy fat free lemon yogurt and freeze it so it tastes like i'm eating ice cream.

    2. I buy ice-milk chocolate "ice cream" but kind of tastes like chocolate ice cream anyways. Safeway's Eating Rigt brand has good ones for under 5$ and 10$

...I normally set aside $10 for weekend low-cal treats (skinny cow ice cream bars, etc) instead of spending 3/4$ on cheap, calorie-laden foods.

I'd love to hear what you guys do in dire situations of needing that certain fix!

    Cheers! E
  • I too love SKinny cow! I also put the low cal sugar free pudding cups only 60 cals in the freezer and them eat them tastes liek fudgicles!

I've been resorting to a lot of 100 calorie packs lately the oreo cakes are soo good

special k bars the vanilla kind taste just like rice crispy treats to me! so If I have an urge for one I'll eat a special k bar instead!

Dryers all fruit bars are a great low cal treat! I love the creamy coconut ones yummy!
  • I love love love sugar free jello. I try to keep it in my fridge all the time. Even when I eat the whole bowl I don't feel guilty..lol.

For dessert try mixing jello with fat free cool whip. It tastes AMAZING.

Also, not so much a dessert-y idea, but if I keep cut up veggies in the fridge I eat a lot more of them. I just cut up whatever I buy right away and then it's ready for me

AND sometimes if I'm craving pizza I eat just pizza sauce and it satifies me it's only 60 cals for 1/2 cup or something.

I want to try tossing those cut up chicken strips in wing sauce and see how that tastes. I have a serious chicken wing craving problem lately so I wonder if that will help.
