Good morning! Cold and dark here! I got on the scale, and it didn't budge (and was maybe even up), but I feel TOM coming, so I'll assume that's why.

I have to work today, but maybe some of you can snuggle under the covers longer -- before you get up, exercise, and log your minutes in the exercise thread!

I just had a bad week last week, and I don't know why. So I didn't read, or post or nuthin. Sorry if that was rude.

Lost a couple more pounds -- that's fun. Didn't exercise, that was fun too, oddly enough. We were getting DD launched on her second college semester, while also going to job evaluation through vocational rehabilitation, so my schedule was all whacked out, and I just cruised.

One thing I'm discovering is that my stomach just doesn't take in what it used to - we went to Olgas, and I ordered a regular, and got about halfway into it, and was full. So I stopped. Lord, I think this was an epiphany. I am not a mindless eater any more.

Well, work is a mess. Everyone is sure there are going to be layoffs, and supervisors are closeting themselves in meetings. I'm not going to make any political comments, but, if this is the cost of deregulation, man, am I for regulation. It's really scary to be a 60 year old woman 6 months out of breast cancer treatment, and not knowing if I'll have a job tomorrow.

Hugs to all, and will do personal messages when I read them. Likely after exercise, which should make me feel better.

Smile Good Afternoon Ladies!

No office for me today, although I do have office work to do at home along with other household chores.

Sue You know I sympathize with you regarding work. Although all I'm worried about is my house payments. Hope it all goes well. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you if you will for me!

WI Saturday was pretty good. Down 1.6. For some reason, that bugs me though. After all, I was PERFECT and didn't even use my flex points and worked out every day and I kind of thought I'd lose more than that. But it's okay - after all, I only need to average a pound and a half per week to make my goal of fitting back in my new clothes by June. So it's all good. I didn't falter and have remained OP. I did use a few flex points Saturday, but Sunday had so darn many left over after dinner I ate an ice cream sundae (made it myself so I could measure and properly count.) I worked out today. All is well.

We did church Sunday. It was good again. DH and I have never been able to find a church that appealed to us both and this one seems to. They are a warm, friendly bunch, but not TOO friendly - we tried one I swear gave off a cult vibe they were so interested in the new folks. That's just not us.

Anyway, I wasted a good part of the day putting music on my mp3 player and getting my 20 minute workout music organized for the elliptical so I don't have to hunt for the songs I want and I need to fold laundry and get that office work done, so better scoot.

Later

Hi ladies,

A day off for me too! The three-day weekend has gone much too quickly.

Today, DH and I made an early morning trip to Sam's club. We got some lovely fuji apples and anjou pears so I'm fruited up for a while! We were very good not to buy any junk food. I take that back, we did buy a box of sweet 'n salty snack packs that have nuts and M&M's, etc. But I've already scoped out the calories and know that I have to divy that packet up into more than one day. I can do that.

I had a dentist appointment today too. Very good cleaning and no work to be done so After that we had lunch at Sonic. That is one of the drawbacks of small town living. A horrid amount of calories. However, I have logged them into Calorie King and because I had not eaten breakfast, I was still able to bring my daily total in under 1500 calories. So again!

I did dog walking again this afternoon. Although damn near froze. I only took Danni, the rottie and we walked a lot faster. She loved the special attention and she's good enough to not have to go on a leash. I have to say that I am really feeling the difference between treadmill walking and outdoor terrain walking. I might be nuts, but the outdoor walking (and jogging) is a heck of a lot harder. I am going to have to hoof it down the road a few times between now and April.

Not much else going on. I'm so thrilled for a good food day.

I did tell DH this evening that no more Sonic. It used to be good food, perhaps that was years ago, but it isn't anymore. YUCKY!

Lilion - on your loss! Have you heard anymore about new bosses or anything? That kind of environment is awful. I still expect to be told anyday that I no longer have a job. Could be paranoia but who knows. I had to chuckle about your experiences with new churches. Somewhere there has to be a happy medium between the cult like experience and being totally ignored as a new person too. We've experienced both in our search for a church closer to home. We wanted to go to the closest church and we did once - but we have never heard music sung so slow in our lives.

Sue - So sorry that you are going through it too. The best thing ladies is to not let it impact your health. I know that is hard but just got to remember that you have do stick to your healthy ways no matter how hard the job situation. Good deal about the epiphany! That a big leap forward.

Heather - You were up early this morning to start the new thread. Although I guess that hour difference for time zone makes a difference. Boo!! about the scale. I've finally got my butt back in gear and adding minutes to the exercise thread. Thanks for the

BarbPA - How was your healthy day?

Debbie54 - Thanks for the BL thread and posting the results.

I better get this posted and go see what the doggies are doing. They are awfully quiet. Hopefully that is due to hours outside playing and not destructing. I did see something exciting today. I had Duke, Dixie, and Daisy out in the kennel while we were gone. When we come home, I saw that Daisy was baying along with Duke and Dixie. I've never noticed her to bay before. I love to watch them with their heads pointed up and close together, singing to me!

to all!

Hi Ladies

Popping in for a usual quickie. I'm about to fall asleep at my desk. It was a healthy, but insane day. We got a little snowstorm that apparently caught everyone off guard. I left work at 3:30 for what is normally a 1 hour drive to the gym and it took me 2.5 hours!!!! I was late for my training session but luckily my trainer didn't have another appt and waited for me. It was a heathly day with good food choices, lots of water and a great workout!

Tomorrow will be another long day. On Wednesday I'm working from home so I can catch up a bit then.

Sweet Dreams Friends!

Good Morning Ladies!

Thought I'd pop in while my litigants are chatting. Maybe they'll settle and I'll have an easy hearing.

Terri, Glad we aren't the only ones who have had problems finding a local church. We haven't looked really hard, to tell the truth, but every couple of years we try 3-4 churches and haven't liked any of them until now. Either they were creepy-friendly or something about the philosophy turned us off. Funny thing is, the one we're liking is the closest one to our house and for some reason we just overlooked it. My poor dogs never get walked - it's too darn cold! And, let's face it, I'm lazy.

Barb, you are doing great with the exercise. Keep up the good work!

I managed to get up and do the elliptical, but the Infernal Machine was rough on me this morning. I'm still OP! Which is amazing for me! I've had a weird weekend food-wise. I guess I got up too late, but one day I ended up with so many points left over that I made an ice-cream sundae and still had 4 left over and yesterday I ate a snack and had 2. I'm working on eating them all this week, to see what that does to my loss.

Anyway, I don't think these people are going to settle, so I better get back in the game!

Later dear ladies!

Kids are being good today and i have already gotten 30 min of exercise in. Just had lunch...2 ff hot dogs with one slice of less bread. I have been craving hotdogs and this is a good way to satify my craving..i was really impressed with them overall.
ydd is home sick today with a sore throat. She is missing her day classes and going to her evening one. I bet she ends up at the dr tommorow.
My brother is doing better but will stay in the hospital at least a week.

gramie - Glad your brother is better; he will be out of the hospital in time for the wedding. re: hot dogs - the only fat free ones I've found I really like is Hebrew National. They are far superior to other fat free brands, imo.

I'm working on the water! That and getting the calcium in has been a problem.

Morning lades,

Dixie, the canine alarm clock, went off at 5:00 am this morning so I got up instead of trying to hide beneath the covers and ignore her. I got in 25 minutes of exercising this morning so I guess I'll have to give her a hug instead of a boot in the butt. I also have time for some studying too.

Last night, I had a great workout at the fitness center. First time I have felt like going in several days. I must have had some kind of viral sinus thing there for a while. Glad its gone. I started with 10 minutes on the treadmill to warm up and then did 30 minutes on the elliptical. And I moved up to Level 2 for a big chunk of that time.

Here I am sweating and trying not to die the last 10 minutes on the elliptical and in walks one of my vets. Thank goodness its the 70 old guy and not the 35 yo. (Yes, I have a crush on the young ones. ) He's in his vet coveralls and boots and hops on the elliptical beside me. I look over and he's got it cranked up to level 4 and he said he's just getting started at this. He lasts all of about 8 minutes. Which is fantastic for a beginner and a 70 yo one at that - however I wanted to say that maybe he'd last longer if he didn't run up the level so much. He hops off, puts his coat back on and out to the truck he goes. This place so needs a trainer to show people how to do these things to get better results.

OMG, anyone watching the Biggest Loser? I am astonished at what they have these people doing given the high weights they are starting at. I was beginning to think I was just being a wuss and not pushing myself hard enough but I saw last night that one whole team was in a room and almost every one of them had their knees and lower legs iced and wrapped. Great that they have doctor's monitoring them but geez, should they be pushed so far that they cause shin splints and knee problems? And the drama, OY!

Debi - That is great news about your brother. I hope this is the last time and he's finally on the road to recovery and can stay on it.

Lilion - You are doing fabulous. Keep up the great work!

Better get to studying. I have studying economic theory. I hate econ and almost cried when I saw that it is part of the CPA exam.

to all!

Good Morning All - just a quick fly by - doing well here. Seems with the new workout routine there is not much time left to post except on Wednesday. I'll try to catch up later tonight.

Terri - I saw that on TBL - makes me feel good about what I can do and not injure myself.

Last nights workout was awesome - I was able to do nearly everything she wanted us to do - lots of weight work - still some problems with the squats because of the bum knee - honestly I think it makes it stronger the more I push through it.

Enjoy your day,
Carol

Morning ladies!

Terri - I no longer need an electric alarm clock most mornings. Mine is furry, too. And they are a lot more variable than the electric version, but I agree that sometimes getting up earlier is a good thing.

I had my long long Tuesday yesterday. I did overeat a little and have to curb that. There's something about a long evening in the classroom that makes me hungry...
