mk......so i'm not for sure what to write about---my struggles??
OMW--plenty of them!!
i think for a long time it was ice cream--yah, for sure--- i was having like almost every day for maybe a week or two, and i recognized that it was DEFINITELY a weakness of mine, so for like the next week, i wrote it down on my calendar-"no ice cream today'
and then---a little while later, i realised that it had been like, weeks since i'd had ice cream!! like, after i hadn't had it for a while, i just didn't want it that much anymore--not to mention i saw the effects it had on my weight---YIKES!!!
but now i've found a new weakness---cookies, and brownies....mmm

Welcome!

And yes, it's easy to get into junk food "wars" with yourself. I personally have learned that I cannot have certain things around at all, otherwise I will sabotage myself by eating too much of it. So, I'll get things like one dark chocolate bar, but not more than one. Even telling myself that it's for later tends to be difficult. So, it all depends on you. If you know its difficult to avoid the temptation, it's probably best to not allow it to be around.
Best of luck!

Hi! My vegan daughter goes on and on about the evils of ice cream, LOL, you might find this interesting: an article with the heir to the Baskin-Robbins fortune, if you scroll down he talks about how he came to view his family's product as detrimental to human health, and he walked away from a lot of money and became a vegan activist.

It's true that a little ice cream from time to time won't hurt you the habit of eating big quantities of processed sugar and cream every day is literally a killer -- my (overweight) neighbors are the eat-out-of-the-carton-while-watching TV type ice cream people, I always am tempted to buy them one of those John Robbins books!
