way of eating supper, but somewhere along the way I got side tracked. I had dark meat of chicken and yellow rice instead of white meat and brown rice.It makes me so angry that I ate the wrong thing, but if I just don't binge because of it that won't be too bad.(I am talking to myself as well as you guys. I need encouragement so please help me out.
I think we all have moments like that! The important thing is to not get hung up on one slip up. When I end up don't get to workout one day or have more servings of something than I should, I just remind myself that tomorrow is a new, fresh day! Keep moving forward and you will do fine!!
HI JANE and welcome to the SB! The great thing about south beach is it gives room for allowances once in awhile! If you got up this morning and are not craving starches, just continue with the plan as you were... if you are having cravings then do a few days of p1 *(not entire two weeks over one meal) to carve the cravings out!
The most important thing is to listen to your body... for me, I can't have certain allowable foods, like 100% whole wheat bread... it sends me eating !!!!!
Good luck and don't sweat the one meal! Some of us even plan one meal a week "off plan" just to make sure we don't binge eat and go way off!
Just get right back on track, Jane, and you should be fine. The rice is the only thing you ate that may cause cravings. Dark meat chicken is fattier and higher in calories that white meat, but won't cause you to crave.
I ate 4 cinnabun minis yesterday at the mall (my weakness) and I knew I shouldn't have eaten it but I did. Now that I had my "happy time" I'm now back on track today. You already received the best advice already and I'm going to say it again...forget about it and carry on the right way. If you see yourself going to wrong way again try to avoid it and hit up that salad you got in the fridge (I always have salads made or one with me when I go out).
