Default What is the best way for me to lose weight?

Hi, my name is Christina and I am 30 years old. I have two kids, a girl, 11 and a boy, 4. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I was 152lbs. I am now 210lbs, and have been this weight since her birth.

I generally eat healthy, but I have some down falls. First, I eat to the point that I am stuffed. I always eat past "full", to the point of uncomfortable. Second, I have a fast food/junk craving if I have eaten too well for a few days. I always crave either fat (McDonalds being the forst choice), or junk, like chocolate and candy. I have no will power.

I am always trying new ways to lose weight, South Beach, counting calories, etc., including any pill that's available.

I hate looking at myself now and my husband doesn't like the way I look either. I am also tired and find myslef lazy because of the extra weight I carry.

Is there anyone who can give me advice as to what might be a successful diet? I am tired of failing and really want to look and feel better.

Thanx.

I recommend Weight Watchers - it's a very good program. It doesn't restrict you from any foods really. You have to stay within your daily points. I find this program works well for me, personally.

But other then that, healthy diet and exercise is key. Thats it really.

Well you found this site, so you're doing something right! My suggestions would be 2 books that are way awesome and so helpful. The first is The Fat Smash Diet.. it's great to get you started on a diet. Phase 1 is about 9 days long and you'll lose 5-15 lbs. The second book which changed my life personally is Skinny B**** it's only for people who don't mind a little sailor talk, im really bad with binge eating and haven't had one binge in the last two months thanks too skinny B**** book. I eat as much as I want, even sometimes feel a little too much, and I'm still losin weight. Sometimes only half pound a week sometimes a few pounds. It's life changing, and made me so much happier!

Whatever diet you pick, just remember to take care of you! When you take great care of yourself- you are happier, and then everyone around you is happier. Its a win- win. I also like walking, its great just one basic thing can do so much, and make you feel so much better!

Mmm I also think WW is a great program..
Ok, maybe this a bit off topic, but I saw you wrote you have no will power, well a while ago I told my nutricionist just the same "I have no will power" and she told me that word shouldn´t be used cause it´s kind of an absolut word, either you have it or you don´t and it usually implies that is something you cannot work on, so instead you should use the word "control".. that word allows degrees, have more or less control and is something you can really work. I know it´s just a word, but it can really change the way you see things and thus the way you act... so you DO have control, maybe not as much as you want BUT the good part is you can WORK in that!

So good luck!!! And this site is great you´ll find lots of support!

I agree also for suggesting WW. ITs a really great program and you can have your fast food fix once a week or your candy if you need to. And going to the meetings and being accountable for your weight might just be what you need to get you going in the right track.

It sounds funny to say but you have more energy if you exercise but getting up the energy to exercise sucks!! I just started working out again myself a week ago and I actually love the more energy part after a workout. Maybe you could try it just 2 day per week or something.

good luck
