Default What temptation did you resist yesterday or today?

Sometimes we think of the things we've done off of our plan...how about patting yourself for resisting temptation.

Last night I was tired and I really wanted to eat toast and butter before bed...but, I didn't (yay!) I'd had enough calories for the day.

I kept my hands out of the basket that contains the nuts and chocolate chips.

I thought I'd have to put myself in handcuffs to do it, but I managed without them.

I was about to have my normal evening snack, when I realized that I wasn't hungry, and that I was just eating it out of habit. So instead of eating an extra 150 calories, I went to bed and got an extra hour of sleep!

Good job ladies!

I am a carb junkie. I can eat half a pound of pasta and gain two pounds! Go figure. I grew up on macaroni and cheese. The kind with the powdered cheese - not the mom made kind. It is still so nostalgic for me and oohh so comforting.
But I resisted even taking one bite yesterday!

*sigh* I so can't participate in this thread today.

I had some friends show up unexpectedly from out of town, so we went out for tapas last night. And a pitcher of margaritas. (dinner last night became my default "no count" meal for the week)

I didn't resist much of anything last night.

While on a private island in the Carribean, I had a grilled chicken breast and fresh pineapple and cantaloupe rather than a huge grilled burger and sides. And I didn't feel deprived at all!

We've been having an employee appreciation week at work, therefore the company has supplied donuts every day so far this week, and I have yet to take one. Yesterday I almost gave in and took 1/2 of one, but I DIDN'T! There was about 50 of us in a conference meeting for 3.5 hours yesterday, and everyone had a donut at their seat except me. I sat there with my yogurt, banana and raw almonds. Afterwards people were telling me how I'm inspiring them. hahahahaha.

yesterday for the first time in months.. I took my pregnant coworker to Checkers for to get lunch.. (this was her craving for yesterday) Normally I would give in and order their loaded fries.. but I actually didnt give in this time. I was so proud of myself. I actually ended up at subway instead and had a grilled chicken salad.. with no dressing!

My mother made a huge plate of tater tots (*drool*), and sat them on the kitchen table.

And I didn't have one.

I've been having a lack of motivation week - I still do my morning weight routine, and I have to walk the mile to work, but other than that no working out. There's been a lot of couch time after work this week, but no total catastrophies.

Yesterday though I did get the urge to totally raid the cabinets (the brother in law keeps buying crap so there was plenty of chips, brownies, cake, etc. that I totally could have put away).

However, I fought it off and went to bed without any snacking. For some weird reason, it was strangely easier than I remember it being even though I've only been a member of this forum for about two weeks and started really journal at about the same time.
