Default I think my scale is broken

The first reading - 199.4 - left me quite depressed. The second - 196.4- made me feel a little bit better. And the third - 78.2 - left me utterly confused. So I am guessing (just a guess here) that I did not lose over 120 lbs while making breakfast and the scale needs to go back.

Your scale is punishing you for weighing yourself too much lol.

I am not about to do the math, but is it possible you switched from lbs. to kg before getting the 78 reading? I seem to remember doing that once and thinking that the scale was broken (or that it had a warped sense of humor).

I did the math -- 78.2 kg equates to 172 pounds ....

I'd take the last weight and run with it! Kidding.

Yeah, unfortunately, I don't think it is that because I then moved the scale to a different surface in case the tile in my bedroom was messing it up and I got yet another weight - 180 something... Oh well, at least it is new so I can get my money back but it means I have to go back to the store - what a pain. Plus, I was really hoping to see a weight loss because I have been doing pretty good these last couple of days.

Are you sure the scale zero'ed out before that third weight?

Are you weighing yourself on a flat hard surface?

Good point. I didn't think of that. My house is covered in tile so I was afraid that that might be the problem. I will try a board tonight. Hey, maybe I am really 150 pounds or something.

I think my scale is broke too. It's registered like the same weight basically for the last 2 months... and my clothes have gotten looser....

It makes me sad, cuz I loved my scale!

Reminds me of an experience I had a few months ago. I stepped on my old scale for the first time in over a year, and was pleasantly surprised to see that I only weighed in the 260's. A week later I realized that the darn thing only went to 290. I bought a new scale and was horrified to see that I actually weighed 307. I can laugh now, but it was quite a blow then!! lol

I say your scale is possessed and must go back from whence it came!!
