This time I mean it

  • Hello all!

My name is Heather, and I live in Ontario, Canada. I am a 35 year old graduate student in Psychology (or, I will be in one month! ). I was a skinny child and teenager, but put on weight when I quit smoking (9 years ago - I guess that excuse is getting a tad stale, eh?) I weighed 159 lbs at my wedding seven years ago (and I thought I was fat then. I had gained at least 20 lbs). I have 2 beautiful stepdaughters, one of whom has Asperger's Syndrome (a mild form of autism). I am tired of hating the mirror, and tired of being too tired to do anything anymore. Besides, my husband bought a motorcycle recently, and I want to be a hot biker chick! LOL.

I started WW on July 22 at 228 lbs (!) and have lost 6 lbs so far. My goal weight is 134 lbs and my goal date is Sept 30, 2009. I like the idea of 10% losses, so I have determined to lose 10% of my weight every 3 months.

First goal.... 205 lbs (-23 lbs) by September 30th.
I have also committed to do 125 days of exercise for the remainder of this year (there are 153 days left).

I hope you all have a good day. Peace.
  • Not to be discouraging...but it was in GRAD school that I gained all my weight! But it sounds like you have a great plan for not only preventing that but for getting down to your goal weight! I know how you feel about hating mirrors. I can't wait until this comes off. Good luck with your plan....I have been thinking about going back on WW and now that I see your plan, it makes me think about it even more! Way to go! Keep up the good work!
  • Good for you! I will be right there with you.
  • . . . from another Canuk (originally from Ontario, but living 'down-east' now) . . . glad you found us, chickie
  • Welcome!

I look for to seeing you in a cute leather jacket by your goal!

You won't regret your decision and it will all be worth it when you see yourself shrinking!
  • Welcome and good luck to you!!
