Default Smoothies in a mini food chopper?!

I don't own a blender but I do have a mini food chopper. Would making a smoothie in one give the same results as a blender?

no, because the job of a blender is to aerate. You can put it in a closed container and shake the ever lovin' life out of it and that will work nicely.
