Prayers for a Friend's family

    Cpl. Michael Starker was killed under enemy fire in Afghanistan last week. I didn't hear until this morning - and it was such a shock.

    He was one of my students at the college that I worked at.

    Mike was one of those guys who would do ANYTHING no matter how stupid it was to put a smile on my face.

    Every day he came for an exam he would greet me "Hello Beautiful - how's my favorite girl today?".

    It breaks my heart that he had to go so soon. I would ask that you pray for his family during this time.

    God Bless Our Troops and God Bless the Michael Starker family...his death breaks our hearts...just like the death of the young man from our church, I knew since he was a small child, the first year in Iraq.
