and bought a bikini! (two actually!)
I have owned one bikini in my life, and I wore it once and never put it on again because I looked so ridiculous. Since I've lost 50 pounds in the last year, and I'm trying to be a little more daring fashion wise (I've started wearing skirts and dresses in the past year and that is huge for me), I thought I might try a bikini again this time. I am about 20 pounds lighter this time around from the first time I bought a bikini, and I'm much smaller size wise. I'm still not really happy with my body because I still have a good bit of flab around my midsection/butt/thighs, but it's much better than it was a year ago. Even though I don't really think I'm ready for a bikini, I bought a couple with the urging of my fiancee. It took me about 3 months to actually buy the bikinis - I have a large chest, so finding a supportive yet stylish bikini was a chore - after about 5 straight weekends of looking in stores, I finally ordered two online.
I got one full bikini set today, plus the bottom of the other (the top is on backorder for a few weeks). I tried on the full set, and I was happy it actually fit! It seems to cover enough and be supportive enough for my chest that I can be comfortable that I won't fall out of it. I got boy shorts as the bottom (that was an urging from my fiancee as well) and although I would like a little bit more coverage in the back, they fit well also.
My body isn't quite bikini ready, but honestly, who cares? If you don't like it then look away I guess. I've worked hard this past year and I want to do something to break out of my shell of shyness. (I don't think I will look as bad as I think, I just still see myself as bigger than I am).
Now if only my 2 week honeymoon in Hawaii in October would get here faster so I can use these bikinis (I'm sure I'll find some reason this summer to wear them).

I'm so happy for you, I've always been of the mindset that you should wear a bikini if you are comfy in them. A lot of people worry about what others think....but based on your stats, you have nothing to worry about. Being another larger chested woman...I highly recommend bikinis with halter tops...they hold together a lot better than the string variety!
