Hi chickies!! Welcome to the binge free challenge!! You can come in here and post your weekly successes and struggles and keep track of your binge free days. You can also vent about anything and everything you feel like getting out. This is a positive thread, so I have to enforce the "be careful about being too negative" rule. We are here to share our feelings and to encourage and inspire each other. We are strong chicks and I KNOW we all can do this!! And we don't have to do it alone, we have each other to get us through the rough times.

ALL chicks are welcome -- no one is excluded! If you are trying to lose weight, not trying, maintaining, recovering from an eating disorder, in the midst of one, or have ANY kind of problem with food, we would love to have you join us!!

Morning everyone!
Oooo next time we have a new thread it will be my birfday! Wow that snuck up on me . Thus, my present to myself will be to lose the damn pound LOL. If it's an early present, great. If it's an on-time present....well good. I was a good girl yesterday, except I'm using too many artificial sweeteners to satisfy sweet cravings. Maybe I should make it another goal to cut down this week...

Yea! Yea! Just realized tomorrow is day 30 for me and I know I can make it!! woo hoo.
I'm starting to get a bit frustrated since I seem to be staying OP and exercising but not really losing, just staying around the same weight. I'm going to lower my average calories by 100 and see if it has any effect. I do generally have one day a week where I'm not as concerned about calories but it's never a binge and shouldn't cause a gain or loss.

me23 - how many artificial sweeteners do you use? I use about 4 packs a day in my 2 cups of coffee.

Congrats Wardhog on day 18!! Keep strong.

Heather -- DAY 30!!!! Already! That's so AWESOME! Tweaking calories is no end of stress, I'm never quite sure if I have too little or too much. I guess we just need to be prepared to tweak them as we go -- nothing is more predictable in life than change!

Me23 -- What a nice gift to yourself that will be!

Wardhog -- Congrats on Day 18!

I'm having a happy Monday because the scale reflected all my hard work over the last week! Yay! Day 47 for me, I'm so happy to still be on plan!

No kidding! Our bodies are so complicated. I wish it was a cut and dry answer! I looked into the sensewear/bodybuggs but I just can't justify the cost nor do I care to wear something like that all day everyday. I can just imagine the questions!

Welcome christinanicole! This is a good group of ladies. Just remember one day at a time. That's all any of us can do.

hi heather - i'm embarrassed to say i'm not too sure how many sweeteners i'm using at the moment. at least 2 per cup of tea, coffee or fruit tea. sometimes three. i know a guy who lectures in nutrition who uses two or three per drink and reckons that's fine...but cause i'm revising for my finals i am getting through a lot of tea!

I tend to binge on the weekends when my fiance is home. It's hard baking yummy things for him and for my own pleasure and then... NOT EATING THEM! AHH!! My binge free challenge is gonna focus on baking something healthy too so I don't shove all those gooey cinnaminrolls in my mouth fresh out of the oven!! LOL

Yeah, I was looking at those too, but I figured maybe if I get REALLY stuck I'd consider paying for one. And even though I read the study they provide on their site as proof it works, I'm still sort of a skeptic, you know? It just doesn't seem possible it can be that accurate.

Thank goodness I don't bake! I can only imagine the temptation! Good job coming up with a strategy for baking!

hey all.. I hope everyone made it through the weekend. I finished week 1...onto week 2... I made my mini goal of not weighing until monday and I lost 6lbs. for the week!! YAY!!!
faux: why not bake something healthy for the 2 of you. Don't even give him the choice? Make it yummy..but keep it good.
Anyhow... doing good today... off to sleeping... (I'm am whoopeedd..)

I have to work baby steps with him lol
He's jamaican and has lots of Jamaican foods that I can't make completely healthy as of yet. I'm not to Jamaican cooking and just making it right is hard so far.. lol I will need some practise before I can start sneaking the health in! lol
And.. he has a sweettooth like no one else I know! He can tell when i substitute sugar in a flash lol

I will let you guys know how my healthy baking goes based on his face when he takes a bite! Lol

Hello, all.
I just wanted to check in for this week. I've been going back and forth, sometimes eating more than is good for me... but so far haven't had one of those mind-numbing all out Binges that I used to crave.
Am working on Day #9.

nice job lexis....heck, *everybody* eats a bit more than they should sometimes, that's a lot better than binging!
tdi, 6lbs! That's fantastic! I should weigh less often but now that I'm just trying to get this last pound off I am doing it every day like 'today? nope...today? nope...' I really need to go to 1400 cals but can't quite seem to do it....darn this smallness, it makes you able to eat less! faux: maybe you can make traditional sweets like coconut candy but with splenda not sugar, that shouldn't be too bad. I blame my sweet tooth on my Iraqi blood. If anyone has ever tried a middle eastern sweet, or even the squash you get in the shops there, you'll know that it is basically pure refined sugar
